The latest version of the PPI for Senegal was created in June 2018 by Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA). Indicators in this PPI are based on data from Senegal’s 2011 Enquête de Suivi de la Pauvreté au Sénégal (ESPS-II) Survey.

This PPI update is based on IPA's new PPI methodology; see our FAQs and full announcement. This updated Senegal PPI, as well as all PPIs released after July 2017, are not the same as the Simple Poverty Scorecards produced by Mark Schreiner of Microfinance Risk Management, L.L.C. Our FAQs describe the difference between the Simple Poverty Scorecard and PPI as well as other commonly asked questions about the transition to the new methodology.

Organizations that have been using the 2005 Senegal PPI may switch to using this 2011 Senegal PPI and compare estimates from the two versions. For more information, refer to the 2011 Senegal PPI User Guide (below) and this Guide to Transitioning to an Updated PPI (English, PDF, log-in required).
