The PPI for Rwanda was created in December 2019 by Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) based on data from Rwanda’s 2016/17 Integrated Household Living Conditions Survey (EICV5) produced by the National Institute of Statistics Rwanda (NISR) and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.

The Rwanda PPI is based on IPA's new methodology, as are all PPIs released after July 2017. See our FAQs for more information on the main differences between our new PPIs and the older PPI versions, and other commonly asked questions about the transition to the new PPI methodology.
